The Pre-CanSkate program is designed for any skater (up to age 8) who has not mastered the ability to shuffle forward, stand up and balance on their own. This program is a non-parented class. Therefore, skaters should be able to participate without a parent on the ice.

 

The goal of the Pre-CanSkate program is to introduce skaters to their equipment and ease those who are uneasy about skating. The goal is to work with the skater as they work towards their Pre-CanSkate ribbon. These sessions are taught in a group lesson format both on and off the ice by NCCP Nationally Certified Professional Coaches.

Participants must wear a CSA approved helmet and skates. We recommend water resistant type pants and mittens or gloves.
